NAR’s Code of Ethics, adopted in 1913, was one of the first codifications of ethical duties adopted by any business group. The Code ensures that clients and customers are served by establishing, maintaining, and enforcing industry standard ethical behavior for its 1.6 million REALTOR® members. Dr. Charles Porter, Past Chair of the Austin Board of Realtors and Past Chair of the TREC Education Standards Advisory Committee, with decades of service to the Professional Standards Committee at both ABOR and Texas Realtors, is the instructor. Charles was Chair of the Grievance Committee at ABOR and has participated in many professional standards hearings including serving as chair of several ethics tribunal appeal hearings for ABOR. He served as Ombudsman for Texas Realtors for over ten years handling over 250 cases. Please join us as he shares his wealth of working knowledge of the code of ethics.
